Our Purpose

It started with a global pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic created diverse needs in America and around the world. We honored our front-line medical workers, food service workers, and other essential service people who took and are taking risks every day. Others are helping in so many ways – it is heartening to see so much community spirit in such trying times.  

By May 2020, over 30% of summer internships have been rescinded or cancelled. Many college juniors had secured a major audition for their big transition from student to career, from paying for education to being paid for work. With about 1.5 million internships per year in America, that’s 500,000 eager college students scrambling for alternatives.

This need was the seed for the newly founded non-profit organization, Driving Forward. A passionate group of like-minded Fortune 500, consulting, and entrepreneurial leaders assembled to target the challenging transition from college to career. We intend to provide training, experience, and networking opportunities despite the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic.
